Begin with a conversation, not a blank recipe book. Table Stories helps invite a family or household participant to talk about the people, places, routines and remembered details around food. Choose a few questions, listen, and keep only the record the narrator wants kept.

The six-file buyer ZIP includes: a 16-page A4 print PDF, a 16-page US Letter print PDF, an editable DOCX prompt/worksheet companion, a UTF-8 CSV recording/artifact index with 14 fields, README and custom family/household license. The CSV includes one clearly fictional example row to replace or delete. A separate three-page static content sample shows genuine PDF excerpts, not the full kit or editable sources.

Inside are a start-here guide; plain-language invitation, permission, privacy and sharing conversation checklist; one- or two-session plans; interview practice; 30 distinct open-ended prompts; repeatable dish-context, story/quotation and photograph/object note sheets; file/session indexing guidance; a close-the-loop checklist; and a two-page made-up filled example. The example demonstrates a no-recording choice, uncertainty and access boundaries. It is not a real family story, testimonial or customer result.

The narrator remains in control. Participants may skip prompts, decline recording, pause or stop, restrict topics and decide whether completed records may be shared. Recording and sharing are separate choices. Ask before recording or copying personal artifacts and confirm boundaries again before sharing.

The PDFs are printable layouts, not fillable forms. DOCX is an editable document, not an application. CSV is a plain index, not secure storage, an audio recorder or transcription tool. No physical printing or cross-application DOCX compatibility testing was performed. Preview mockups show true supplied pages; physical books, tableware and scene props are not included.
