What it does
Many AI image tools (Midjourney-style grids, OpenArt, Leonardo, etc.) give you a collage of several images in one file. This tool splits each collage into its separate images and upscales every one of them 4x, for a whole folder in one command.
Features
- Any grid: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 3x5 and more (--grid 4x4)
- Auto-detects and trims outer borders and the gutters between tiles (pixel-exact on PNG/WebP, robust on JPEG; --inset for extra safety)
- Upscaling engines: Real-ESRGAN (best quality, uses your GPU via the official ncnn-vulkan build), OpenCV super-resolution models (CPU), or Lanczos fallback; 'auto' picks the best available
- Batch: a whole folder of collages, files named collage_r1c1.png, collage_r1c2.png, ...
- Safe: never overwrites your originals, skips finished collages on re-runs, validates files by content
- Windows, Mac and Linux; step-by-step setup guide with troubleshooting
