There is a strange question hidden inside the history of Eurasia.

Why can populations separated by thousands of kilometers still discover deep relationships between their languages, myths, traditions and ancient histories, yet have almost no permanent political institution built specifically around those relationships?

From Ireland to India, from Greece to the Baltic world, from the Iranian plateau to the European continent, from the Caucasus to South Asia, history contains connections that cross the boundaries of modern states.

Yet modern political institutions rarely organize themselves around the broad historical category known as Indo-European.

There are organizations built around political alliances, economic interests, religion, regional geography, shared languages and particular civilizational histories. But there is no comparable major international organization representing the Indo-European family as a whole.

That absence is the starting point of this book.

This is not a proposal to erase nations.

It is not a proposal to create a single ethnicity.

It is not a proposal for one religion.

It is not an argument that all Indo-European peoples are biologically identical.

It is an investigation into whether a complicated network of historical relationships could become the foundation for peaceful cooperation among sovereign nations.

The central question is simple:

What would happen if the similarities were studied, preserved and used as a bridge rather than ignored?
