One birthday treasure hunt that kids of different ages can play together. Everyone follows the same 8-stop trail around your home. Each age group reads its own clue card at each stop, and the crew collects one puzzle piece per stop. After the last stop the crew builds the puzzle, and the picture shows where the prize is hidden.

Not for children under 3. Contains small cut-out pieces; adult supervision required.

Three clue versions on one trail

Age ranges are suggestions (estimated); pick the version that fits each child.

• Little Explorers (ages 3-5): big picture clues that a grown-up reads aloud.

• Clue Crew (ages 6-8): a short rhyme to solve, with Fizzwick the party critter on each card just for fun. Children who aren't reading confidently yet can have a grown-up read the rhyme aloud.

• Code Breakers (ages 9-12): a riddle plus a mini number code, with a decoder sheet.

• Setup: about 20-30 minutes for one trail (estimated), plus about 5 minutes per extra age version.

• Players: about 2-10 children on one trail (estimated), playing as one crew.

• Play time: about 15-40 minutes depending on age (estimated).

• Every card matches the setup table; grown-up answer pages name every spot.

• A checking program confirmed each code decodes to exactly one word that matches the answer pages.

• Formats: US Letter and A4, each in color and black-and-white ink saver (4 PDFs in one zip).

• Fonts: Andika and Lexend (SIL Open Font License, embedded). All art is original; no brands or characters.

• Names and ages are written by hand on write-in lines (no fillable form fields).

Not tested

We have not tested: real printing on a home printer, Adobe Acrobat, macOS Preview, browser PDF viewers, cutting the pieces, laminating, or play with real kids. Setup and play times are estimates.
