The leak: scope creep rarely arrives as one big demand. It arrives as small requests — one more page, one more revision round, one more format — each too small to argue about. Added up, they are often 10–30% of the project fee, worked for free.

Scope-Lock is prevention. Before work starts, you agree in writing: what the project includes, what it excludes, how many revision rounds are included, what the deposit and milestones are, and what any extra work costs. When the client asks for something outside the agreement, you price it from the Change-Order Price Sheet, log it, and get written approval before doing the extra work.

FAQ (listing)

1. Is Scope-Lock legally binding? No. It is a documentation and decision system, not legal advice. For binding legal terms, use a local lawyer or vetted contract template.
2. What if the client refuses to sign? Send the agreement by email and ask for a one-word "agreed" reply. If the client will not even do that, that is information about how the project will go.
3. What if the client says "it's just a small thing"? Small extras add up — that is the leak. The price sheet gives you a factual answer instead of a negotiation about feelings.
4. Which currency are the prices in? Example prices are USD placeholders. Change them to your currency and prices before first use.
5. Does it work for fixed-price and hourly projects? Both. See FAQ.md in the package for the full 10 questions.
