Yazen lives with his mother, Zainab, in a small apartment in an old neighborhood of the city, where poverty weighs heavily on his life, trapping it in a closed loop: he wakes up, works, returns home, and tries to save money, only for the exact same day to begin anew. Fifteen years ago, his father, Samer, disappeared without explanation, leaving behind an old photograph, a stopped pocket watch, and memories that time had begun to blur. Ever since his childhood, Yazen felt there was a secret in his father's past that his mother avoided discussing, until he stumbled upon a black leather bag hidden among neglected boxes. Inside was a leather notebook, a photograph of a massive stone building, and a metal piece engraved with a strange pattern—thus beginning a journey he never expected.

On the first page of the notebook is a sentence written in his father's handwriting, stating that his arrival to Yazen means the time has drawn near, and the portal will not remain closed forever. With every page, the questions multiply: How did his father know the notebook would reach Yazen? And why did he write his name specifically? The clues lead to the abandoned Northern Station, where Yazen stands before the very building that appeared behind his father in the old photograph. There, the watch in his hand trembles, the portal illuminates with a blue light, and Yazen falls into a world no human has ever seen before—the world of Noor Melks, where cities rise above the clouds and three moons revolve in the sky.

• There, Yazen meets a young woman named Noor, who carries a secret and treats him with obvious caution; she knows less about the Earth world than he expects, and more about his father than she admits. Rest is short-lived, as black ships bearing the emblem of the Black Ring chase them across glowing plains and forests, pursued by Garadis, a man who seems to know more than he should about Yazen's father, and who wants to reach the watch, the amulet, and the girl herself. Their journey then leads them to a city floating above the clouds, and to a tower whose doors never close, where they meet an elder who knows Yazen before seeing him. Doubts escalate between trust and potential betrayal, leaving a lingering question hanging in the air: Who is the true traitor?
