Product Description
This is a representation of a real world orrery that is made by a person named Zeamon. I used the blueprints and schematics which he provided for building it, including the gears and the specifications for each gear used.
In the model, each gear is turned based on gear motion, carrying the movement from one gear to the other.
The orrery itself can be turned using a manual handle, but for the sake of posting it, I automated the turning of the handle to showcase its functionality.
It was made to approximate the movement of the planets, therefore, each planet moves in approximately the same speed in relation to other planets in the the unit.
You will get the .blend file and it is the main product because it also contains the textures embedded, but I have also attached an fbx file.
