Getly
November is when Etsy sellers, mug printers, teachers and scrapbookers all buy Christmas clipart at once. Most of them check the preview and the price. The things that decide whether the purchase works are elsewhere: the format, the real pixel size, and one paragraph of licence text. This checklist covers all three, then shows five Christmas sets on Getly that answer those questions in the listing itself.
The clipart shelf today (measured on 29 October 2026)
The Clipart and Vectors category has 96 active listings. The median price is about $4.50, and the middle half sits between $2.99 and $8.25; only 2.1% are free. More than half (56%) arrive as a ZIP archive, and a smaller set delivers loose files: PDF (14%), PNG and SVG (10% each), EPS (9%), AI (6%). Licences on this shelf are mostly business-friendly: among listings that state one, 82% are commercial and 7% extended, while a quarter of all listings state no licence type at all. Across the catalogue, 100 active listings carry "Christmas" in their name, and festive sets also live on the Holiday and Seasonal Graphics shelf.
PNG or SVG: which one you actually need
| Format | What it is | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| PNG | Raster image with a transparent background | Sublimation, mugs, stickers, cards, digital planners | Fixed pixel size; enlarging blurs it |
| SVG | Vector, made of paths | Cutting machines (Cricut, Silhouette), any size print, recolouring | Watercolour styles rarely exist as true vectors |
| EPS / AI | Professional vector source | Illustrator, print shops | Needs software to open |
| JPG | Raster without transparency | Backgrounds and digital paper | White box around the motif |
A simple rule: if you cut vinyl or need a design at any size, you need SVG. If you print on mugs, shirts or paper with soft painted art, a large PNG is the normal and correct format. A "watercolour SVG" is usually a PNG traced into thousands of shapes, and it rarely cuts cleanly.
The pixel check: 300 DPI means nothing on its own
"300 DPI" is the most repeated phrase in clipart listings and the least informative one. DPI is just a label stored in the file; what matters is the pixel count. Divide pixels by 300 to get the printable size in inches: 3000 px prints at 10 in (25 cm), 2500 px at 8.3 in, 1254 px at about 4.2 in. For a full-front shirt print you want roughly 3600 to 4500 px on the long side; for a mug wrap about 2700 px wide; for a card or sticker, 1500 to 3000 px is plenty. If a listing gives only "300 DPI" and no pixel size, ask the seller before you buy.
Licence: five questions to answer before you sell anything
- Commercial use for what? Most clipart licences allow you to sell finished products (a printed mug, a card, a shirt) and forbid selling the files themselves.
- Print on demand? Uploading to a POD service where the file sits on someone else's server is sometimes treated differently. Check if it is mentioned.
- Digital products? Using clipart inside a digital planner or printable you sell is a grey zone. Many licences allow it only if the art is flattened into the design and cannot be extracted.
- Quantity limits. Some licences cap the number of products sold. The extended licence usually removes the cap.
- Credit. Some sellers ask for attribution. It costs you nothing, but it has to be done.
On Getly the licence type appears next to the price, and the exact terms are in the description or in a LICENSE file in the download. "Commercial" is the category; the paragraph is the contract.
Five Christmas sets that answer these questions
Christmas goats with scenes and papers
Christmas Goats Clipart Bundle contains 27 individual goat illustrations as PNG at 3000x3000 px with transparent backgrounds, 4 ready Christmas scenes at the same size, and 4 digital papers at 5000x5000 px. With 2027 being the year of the Goat in the Chinese calendar, goats are a timely motif for cards that bridge December and February. Commercial licence, $6. The ZIP is about 100 MB, so download it on a stable connection.
Blue winter clipart plus ready stickers
Blue Winter Clipart and Sticker Bundle gives every design twice: 25 transparent PNGs at 3000x3000 and the same 25 with a white sticker outline, plus two complete sticker sheets at 6000x6000 (PNG and JPG). If you sell printable sticker sheets or make them for a classroom, the outlines save an evening of work. Commercial licence, $6.
Pink Christmas characters
Pink Christmas Clipart Bundle is 14 transparent PNG characters (snowmen, reindeer, winter animals) in a pink, red, green and cream palette, aimed at cards, planners, stickers and sublimation. The listing gives 300 DPI but not the pixel size, so this is a good one to practise the pixel question on: ask the seller before you plan a large print. Commercial licence, $4.
Ready designs for shirts and mugs
Christmas PNG Bundle Vol. 2 is closer to finished print designs than to loose clipart: 10 complete Christmas illustrations (a gnome with cocoa, Santa and Mrs Claus, a nutcracker, Highland cows and more), each supplied at 2500x2500 and 4500x4500 px. The 4500 px version is large enough for a full shirt front. Its licence text is a model of clarity: commercial use covers finished physical products, and the PNG files may not be resold or shared as digital files. $9.99. The download is a large ZIP (around 340 MB). More shirt-ready art sits on the T-shirt Designs shelf.
True vector patterns for any size
When you need vectors, 30 Christmas Seamless Patterns delivers each of its 30 gingham, tartan, knit and holly patterns as JPG, PNG (3000x3000) and true vector SVG that tiles without a visible seam. Use it for gift wrap, fabric mock-ups, card backgrounds or cut files. Commercial use included, $5.99.

Red flags
- Famous characters or brand logos in the set. No marketplace licence can give you the right to sell those.
- "SVG" in the title, but only PNG files in the description.
- A file list that does not match the title, for example "PNG bundle" that is delivered as a single PDF.
- No licence type and no licence text at all.
Buying on Getly
Pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your browser offers them) or with USDT/USDC. Files are in your library immediately after payment and can be downloaded again later, which matters for big ZIPs. If a set does not match its listing, request a refund within the store's refund window (30 days by default); a Getly admin reviews every request. The artist keeps 80 to 90% of the price. Buy your Christmas clipart now, and your products are ready to list while buyers are still searching.
