The retargeting problem
Buying a character model is easy. Getting it to move is where hours disappear: bone names do not match, hierarchies differ, and the animation Blueprint has to be rebuilt.
The fix: keep the Mannequin skeleton layout
Every character in our store is skinned to its own skeleton that uses the same bone names and hierarchy as the UE5 Mannequin (SK_Mannequin). In Unreal Engine 5 you add SK_Mannequin as a *Compatible Skeleton* and the Third Person animations and ABP_Manny work right away - no bone renaming, no retarget setup.
