My nails have always been unusually small, and to me, they are a small reminder of the childhood I grew up in. There was a lot of tension and stress at home, and I was a naturally introverted child who didn't have close friends to talk to or share my feelings with. Instead of expressing what I felt, I learned to keep everything inside and deal with it on my own.

I don't know if there is a direct connection between those experiences and the way my nails developed, but I associate them with a time when I had to carry a lot of emotions silently.
