• Keep the conversation going: practise useful phrases for asking for repetition, clarifying a word, taking time to think or responding honestly when you do not have the exact experience being asked about. You can also prepare two genuine questions for the employer.

• Practise a short interview: work through five common interview questions, respond to an unexpected follow-up and review your answers for relevance, honesty and clarity before trying again.
