Make eight pages feel like one issue. Folio Eight is a self-contained offline mini-zine text editor. Open the HTML file locally in a browser: no account, paid Canva plan, subscription, external font, network dependency or cloud sync is required.

Start with Small Weather, a fully written original fictional eight-page example, or start blank. Edit each page label, headline, short deck and body; select any of the eight live page previews. Export and import compatible eight-page JSON backups. Malformed imports are rejected. Edits save in the same browser profile when local storage is permitted; visible status reports storage failure. Export JSON for a portable backup.

The five-file buyer ZIP includes: one self-contained HTML studio, a four-page A4 editorial/proof guide, a four-page US Letter guide, README and custom creator license. The guides cover editorial sequence, credits and permissions, colophon, accessibility proofreading and printer proofing. A separate three-page static sample PDF contains genuine guide excerpts, not an editable demo or the complete product.

Print output is eight sequential reader-order pages, one page per sheet, in A4 or US Letter via the browser Print / Save PDF command. This is not booklet imposition, imposed spreads or a single-sheet fold template. Match browser and printer paper size, portrait and 100% scale; disable browser headers/footers and inspect a physical proof. Duplex/flip settings, margins, bleed, trim, background graphics, paper and binding depend on your device and chosen printer.

Local Chromium functional checks covered editing, JSON import/export, browser saving/failure handling and eight-page A4/Letter print output. Broad browser/mobile compatibility and physical printer output were not tested. The sample people, places and conversation are invented fiction, not a real interview, report, testimonial or customer result. This is an editorial starter, not professional editing, legal advice, accessibility certification or a promise of printing, audience or sales outcomes. Preview mockups depict true included pages and UI; physical stationery is not included.

Custom license: One individual creator may use the editor and guides to create, publish, distribute and sell original finished zines, including works for clients. Do not resell, sublicense, share, publicly post, bundle or redistribute the editor, guides, source/template kit or substantially unmodified parts as a starter, template or competing product. The creator is responsible for rights, permissions, privacy, attribution, factual review, accessibility and printer suitability. Supplied as-is. Browser storage and printer settings vary; export JSON backups and proof actual output. No universal booklet imposition is included. See LICENSE.txt.
