Log calls, emails, notes home and meetings with families, including attempts that didn't reach anyone. A per-student summary fills in by itself. Works in free LibreOffice Calc. Printable pages in US Letter and A4, color and black and white.

  • Class List: up to 40 students, with family contacts, preferred method and language or interpreter notes
  • Contact Log: 500 rows. Date, time, student (picked from a dropdown of your Class List), parent or guardian, relationship, method, outcome (Reached, Left message, No answer, Other), reason, notes, follow-up needed, due and done
  • Per-Student Summary: total contacts, how many reached the family, last contact date and open follow-ups for each student, plus whole-class totals
  • A Check column that flags rows with no student, a name not on the Class List, a missing date or outcome, or an open follow-up
• Printable pages (4 PDFs: Letter color, Letter black and white, A4 color, A4 black and white), each with an instruction page, a class list (2 pages, 40 lines), a class contact log, a student contact log and a conference notes page

Limits: up to 40 students and 500 log rows per file. The printable pages have no limit.

Setup time: about 10 to 15 minutes to type in a class list of 25 to 30 students (estimate).

Good to know

• No macros, scripts or charts. Nothing depends on today's date.
• Printable pages are plain PDFs to print and write on, not fillable forms.
• Keep these records secure, follow your school's policy, and don't share the file publicly.

Compatibility: Tested in LibreOffice Calc. Excel not tested. Google Sheets not tested. Printable pages checked on screen, not test-printed.
