Getly Exclusive: 15% for a product sold only here

From this week a seller can mark a product as Getly Exclusive: a declaration that this product is sold here and nowhere else. On a marketplace sale the platform take for that product drops from 20% to 15%. Nothing else about the listing changes, and nothing is checked at the door — this is a statement you make, with your name on it, shown to buyers as a badge.

Why a lower rate for exclusivity

The honest reason is not arithmetic. The catalogue does not lack volume: 4,885 active listings this week, and roughly a hundred new products a day. What it lacks is distinctiveness. When a buyer finds the same PDF, the same icon pack, the same prompt library on four platforms at four prices, no platform has a reason to be preferred, and the buyer treats the whole category as a commodity. A product that exists in one place is a reason to come to that place.

So the 5 points are not a reward for loyalty. They are the price we are willing to pay for a catalogue a buyer cannot get elsewhere. If that sounds like a marketing decision rather than a finance one, that is because it is.

How the rate is actually decided

Getly does not have one commission; it has a small set of candidate rates, and on every sale the lowest applicable one wins. Exclusive is now one more candidate in that set:

  • 10% on your own traffic — a buyer who arrived through your personal link, your embedded Pay button or your Telegram store within the last day.
  • 17%, 15%, 12% volume tiers, set by your completed volume in the previous calendar month at $500, $2,000 and $10,000.
  • 15% for a product declared Exclusive.
  • The early-seller promo where it is still running, and a processing floor that stops a tiny card order from being served below cost.

Because it is a candidate and not an override, Exclusive can never take money away from you. A seller already on the 12% tier keeps 12%. A sale through your own link keeps 10%. The declaration only matters when 15% is the best rate you would otherwise not have reached — which, for most sellers, is exactly the position they are in.

What it is not

It is not verified, not today. We do not crawl other platforms looking for your product, and we do not intend to build a surveillance tool to police a discount. The declaration is public — the badge is visible on the product page — and it is covered by the platform rules the same way every other claim on a listing is. Withdrawing it is one switch, and the date of the declaration is kept so an exclusive that was later withdrawn is distinguishable from one that never existed.

It also cannot be set by a co-author. Only the store that owns the product decides, because it is the store's money.

Who should consider it

If you sell on one platform, you are already exclusive — you have simply not been paid for it. Twenty-three products were declared in the first two days, most of them by sellers in exactly this position. If you sell across several platforms, the question is whether the 5 points on your Getly volume are worth more than the marginal sales elsewhere; for a product that earns little on the other platforms, the arithmetic is usually clear, and for a bestseller it is usually not. Run the numbers on last month, not on hopes.

The toggle sits in the pricing step of the product editor, next to the price itself, where the decision belongs. Nothing is pre-selected.
