Fashion and beauty copy fails when it sounds like a catalogue. Specific writing - fabric, finish, result - is what moves a product or fills a chair. Twelve prompts cover the week.
The 12 prompts
1. Product description. Write a description for [item]: material, fit, care, who it suits. 70 words, one sentence on how it wears, no "elevate your wardrobe".
2. Size guidance. Turn this size chart [paste] into plain advice: what runs small, what to size up on, one sentence for someone between two sizes.
3. Lookbook caption. 8 captions for this lookbook [describe]: the piece name, one styling idea, no emoji pile-ups.
4. Launch email. A launch email for [collection/drop]: date, three pieces, why they exist, early access line. 140 words, one CTA, three subject lines.
5. Service page. A service page for [balayage/cut]: what it is, who it suits, how long it takes, four aftercare bullets, honest price framing.
6. Consultation script. A 10-question consultation script for [service]: goals, maintenance time, budget, history - so the quote is accurate before the chair.
7. Aftercare. Aftercare instructions for [treatment/service]: first 48 hours, first week, what to avoid, when to come back. Checklist format, grade-8 level.
8. Review reply. A warm three-sentence reply to a 5-star review of [service], and a calm reply to a 3-star one that invites them back.
9. Review ask. The line on the card or receipt that gets reviews: short, specific, points at Google, no guilt, no incentive that breaks platform policy.
10. Social batch. 10 posts for [brand]: 4 styling tips, 3 behind-the-scenes, 2 myth-busters, 1 offer. Hook in the first line, under 120 words each.
11. Seasonal campaign. A [season] campaign for [brand]: concept, three hooks, email subject lines, six content pieces, one offer that is not a discount race.
12. Month in numbers. Given sales by category and appointment fill rate [paste], tell me what to promote next month and what to quietly retire.
Specific beats pretty
"Soft tailoring that holds its shape after a full day" sells; "timeless elegance" does not. Ask the model for material, fit and result, then cut every adjective that could describe any other brand.
