Printable thank-you notes for kids to fill in and decorate. Print, let your child finish the note, and cut on the dashed lines. Each note opens with “Dear ___,” and ends with a name line, so a grown-up can write or type who it is for and kids do the rest.

What you get (one zip):

• 4 PDFs, 13 pages each: US Letter and A4, each in color and in a black-and-white ink-saver version

• Start Here page with how to use, printing and typing tips

• 12 note pages, 2 notes per page, 24 notes in all

• 6 versions: Christmas, Hanukkah, birthday, teacher, grandparents and any occasion

• 2 levels for every version (2 notes each)

Two levels:

• Early Writer: three sentence starters to finish on the lines, such as “Thank you for the ___,” “My favorite part is ___” and “I will use it to ___,” plus a picture frame and a “Love,” line (“Your student,” on the teacher notes)

• Pre-Writer: no writing needed. Kids draw a picture, color the outlined “Thank you!”, circle a feeling (happy, excited, loved – or proud on the teacher notes) and trace or write their name on handwriting guide lines

Sizes (measured in the PDFs): every note is 5.5 × 4.25 in (140 × 108 mm), on both Letter and A4. Writing lines on Early Writer notes are 0.385 in apart.

Fillable fields: each PDF has 48 fillable fields (the name after “Dear” and the name at the end of every note). On Pre-Writer notes, a typed name prints large in light gray so your child can trace over it. The name fields are sized for first names, not full names: typed text doesn’t shrink to fit, so a longer name gets cut off on the right. The Pre-Writer name box fits about 10 letters, the “Dear” line about 21, and the “Your student,” line on the teacher notes about 18. We filled every field with a test name by script, flattened the copy, and the names showed up on the rendered pages. Typing needs a PDF app that can fill in forms; some web browsers and phone apps can’t. You can always print blank and write by hand.

All drawings are original and simple: tree, ornament, dreidel, menorah, balloons, party hat, pencil, book, house, flower, sun and more. No characters. The Hanukkah notes say “Happy Hanukkah” and have no religious text.

All printed content stays at least 0.5 in from every edge of the page. Checked on a computer by rendering all four PDFs; real printers were not tested. Print at 100% or “Actual size,” on plain paper or cardstock.
