Product Description
Blender Collab Pro brings real-time multi-user collaboration directly
into Blender. Multiple artists can work on the same scene
simultaneously — every change is instantly synchronized across all
connected users.
Real-Time Synchronization
All scene changes are transmitted and applied instantly at 20 updates
per second. Supports full and delta synchronization with batching and
compression for optimal network performance. Every Blender object type
is supported — meshes, curves, materials, node trees, armatures,
cameras, lights, collections, and more.
Multi-User Sessions
Host a server or join an existing session in seconds. Up to 20 users
can collaborate in the same scene simultaneously. Room-based
architecture allows multiple independent sessions on a single server.
Rooms support password protection for private collaboration.
User Roles & Permissions
Four permission levels to manage your team:
- Owner — full control, room management, can kick users
- Admin — can edit and manage other users
- Editor — can edit objects in the scene
- Viewer — read-only access for review and observation
Object Locking
Prevent editing conflicts before they happen. Lock any object while
you are working on it — other users can see the lock status and who
holds it. Locked objects are protected from concurrent edits, ensuring
clean collaborative workflows.
User Presence
See exactly what your teammates are doing in real-time:
- 3D Cursors — each user's cursor position visible in the viewport
- Selections — see which objects each user has selected
- Viewport Cameras — visualize where other users are looking in the
scene
- Follow Mode — snap your viewport to follow another user's camera
Each user is assigned a unique color for easy identification across
all presence indicators.
Conflict Resolution
When two users edit the same object simultaneously, the system detects
the conflict and offers multiple resolution strategies:
- Last Write Wins
- Local Wins
- Server Wins
- Auto Merge
- Reject
Full conflict history with detailed information about what changed and
who made the change.
History & Undo
Complete action history with per-user and shared undo/redo stacks.
Every action is timestamped and attributed to its author. Browse,
search, and export the full editing history of your session.
Built-In Chat
Communicate with your team without leaving Blender. Send text
messages, react to messages, and edit sent messages. System
notifications for user joins and leaves keep everyone informed.
Searchable chat history with filtering.
Network Architecture
Server-client architecture with binary protocol and automatic
compression. Heartbeat monitoring ensures connection stability.
Auto-reconnect support for dropped connections. Configurable host,
port, and timeout settings.
