1. Were the prompts actually run?
A prompt you have never executed is a wish, not a tool. Look for packs that show example output, name the model they were tested on, and tell you what happens when the input changes. If a listing only shows a pretty preview image, assume the prompts are untested.
2. Is it organized by task, not by model?
Prompts break down into tasks, not brands. *Write a cold email* is useful; *ChatGPT writing prompts* is not. The right structure lets you find the right prompt in seconds instead of scrolling a 4 MB text file. 4. Does it include the awkward parts?
The prompts that save real time carry the details a beginner would guess at: negative prompts, camera and lens choices, output format, tone constraints, length limits. A pack that ships only the positive half of a prompt leaves the work with you.
5. What format do you actually receive?
TXT files are searchable and copy-paste friendly. ZIP bundles are easy to move between devices. A PDF looks nice and is painful to use. Ask which one you are getting, and how large the download is.
6. Can you use it commercially?
If you are writing for clients, products or ads, you need commercial use stated plainly, not buried in a licence link. Check that before checkout, not after.
