Envato alternative for selling digital products

Envato Market is an exclusive-leaning marketplace with a tiered author rate. If you want to keep more of each sale, sell the same file elsewhere, and get paid without a bank, here is how Getly compares.

Envato alternative for selling digital products

Envato Market — ThemeForest, GraphicRiver, AudioJungle and the rest — is where a lot of digital sellers started. It has the traffic, the review queue and a rate card that has been argued about for a decade. If you are looking for somewhere else to sell, or somewhere additional, here is an honest comparison.

The rate, plainly

Envato pays authors on a tier that depends on whether an item is exclusive to the platform and on how much you have sold through it. Non-exclusive authors sit at the bottom of that scale, which is the tension at the heart of the model: the better rate requires you to sell nowhere else.

Getly's default commission is 20%, so you keep 80%. That falls with volume — 17% above $500 in the prior calendar month, 15% above $2,000, 12% above $10,000. Two other rates apply automatically when they are better for you:

  • A sale that arrives through your own link is charged at 10%. If you bring the buyer, you keep 90%.
  • A product you choose to sell only on Getly can be marked Exclusive and is charged at 15% — a declaration you make and can withdraw, not a contract.

Whichever rate is lowest for you is the one applied. You are never charged more because a better rate exists somewhere in the rules.

Exclusivity is the real difference

Envato's higher author rate is purchased with exclusivity. That is a coherent trade — the platform invests in traffic for items it alone carries — but it is a trade, and it locks the file.

Getly asks for no exclusivity. The Exclusive marking exists, it lowers your rate to 15%, and it is entirely your choice: you declare it, and you can stop declaring it. As of 14 September 2026, 118 live listings carry it. The other 5,554 do not, and nothing about their treatment differs.

In practice this means you can list the same file in both places and find out which one sells it, rather than deciding in advance.

Getting paid

This is where the platforms diverge most for sellers outside the countries payment processors like.

Getly pays out twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th. Two rails: Stripe Connect where it operates, and stablecoins — USDT or USDC on BNB Smart Chain, or USDT on Tron — where it does not. The crypto rail requires no KYC and no bank account. Minimums are $5 on BNB Smart Chain and $15 on Tron, the difference being network fees, which come out of the transfer.

Among sellers who have set a crypto wallet, BNB Smart Chain is the majority choice — 398 against 248 on Tron — which tracks the fee difference exactly.

Review, listing and control

Envato reviews submissions against a published standard, which produces consistency and a queue. Getly gates publication on content requirements — a file, an image, a description, a category and a licence — rather than on taste, and the listing goes live when those are met.

That is a genuine trade-off in both directions. A curated marketplace tells buyers something about the average item. An open one means your listing does not wait on someone else's schedule.

Who should actually switch

Not everyone. If your Envato items are exclusive and selling well, that rate is working for you and this article is not an argument against it.

The sellers who gain most are the ones for whom exclusivity is a cost rather than a benefit: people with an audience of their own, who can route buyers through their own link at 10%; people who want the same file in several places; and people who cannot get money out of a platform that pays only through channels their country does not have.

Listing costs nothing and there is no monthly fee, so the comparison can be run rather than argued about.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell on Envato and Getly at the same time?
Yes, provided your Envato items are not under an exclusive agreement. Getly asks for no exclusivity by default; listing the same file on both is allowed and common.
How much does Getly take?
20% by default, falling to 17%, 15% or 12% as your prior-month volume grows. A sale from your own link is 10%, and a product you sell only on Getly can be marked Exclusive for 15%.

No. Getly pays out in USDT or USDC on BNB Smart Chain or Tron, with no KYC required for crypto payouts. Stripe Connect is available where it operates.
When do payouts happen?
Twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th, for sales from the completed period.
