Boosty alternatives in 2026 for creators

Boosty is the default membership platform for a large part of the Russian-speaking creator world: subscriptions, paid posts, tips, all in one profile. People look for alternatives for three reasons. The fee, the payout route (a card is not always something a creator can use), and the type of product: someone who sells files, templates or presets as well as a subscription wants a shop, not only a feed.

This comparison is about creators who sell digital products and memberships. Boosty's terms were checked on boosty.to on 26 October 2026, in the version of the site served outside Russia; competitor fees were checked on their official help pages the same day. Getly numbers come from our own pricing rules.

What Boosty offers today

  • Fee: Boosty's FAQ states a service fee of 11.7%, plus payment system fees. Registration and use are free.
  • Payouts: processed daily, minimum $10, in USD or EUR to Visa or Mastercard cards (international version). Separate payment terms apply in CIS countries, and the conditions for payouts to Russian accounts are shown in the withdrawal terms inside the creator account; we could not read those without one.
  • Verification: payment acceptance is available only after verification under AML and KYC rules, with levels that depend on annual income.
  • How fans pay: Visa and Mastercard worldwide; the checkout also offers Russian bank cards and SBP, plus Pix.
  • Tools: subscription tiers, one-time paid posts, bundles of posts with lifetime access, tips and paid messages.

Its real strength is that it works for fans in Russia and for fans abroad in one place, which few Western platforms do. Its limits are the fee level, the card-based payout, and the fact that a "product" on Boosty is a post: there is no catalogue where strangers search for files.

The alternatives

Patreon

Creators who publish a page after 4 August 2025 pay a standard 10% platform fee, plus payment processing (2.9% + $0.30 for cards; 3.9% + $0.30 for PayPal payments from members outside the US), a 2.5% currency conversion fee when a payment's currency differs from your payout currency, and a payout fee. It is the largest membership platform and has a shop for digital downloads. Payouts depend on the methods available in your country, so check them before you build there.

Ko-fi

Ko-fi takes 0% on one-time tips on its free option and 5% on shop sales, memberships and commissions; a paid Gold plan removes the 5%. PayPal or Stripe take their own processing fee, usually around 3% + $0.30. Money goes straight to your PayPal or Stripe account, which is simple, and also means Ko-fi only works where you can hold one of those.

Buy Me a Coffee

A flat 5% platform fee with no monthly plan, plus Stripe's processing. Payouts go through Stripe, so you need to live in a country Stripe pays out to. Good for tips and simple memberships, with a small shop for extras.

Gumroad

Built for selling files rather than memberships, though it supports recurring products. Gumroad's help page lists 10% + $0.50 per sale through your own link or profile, not counting card processing (2.9% + $0.30) or PayPal fees, and a flat 30% on sales that come from its Discover marketplace. No monthly fee.

Getly

Getly is a marketplace for digital products: files, templates, presets, fonts, courses, game assets. On top of that, a store can run Member Plans: monthly plans with an optional yearly price, free plans, and members-only posts on the store's own blog. The seller keeps 90% of every member payment. For product sales the seller keeps 80% by default and 90% on sales that come through their own link, Pay Widget or Telegram store (also 90% during a new store's first 90 days). There is no listing fee and no monthly fee. Rates are on the pricing page.

Payouts go out on the 1st and 15th in USDT or USDC to a wallet you control: BNB Smart Chain from $5, or Tron (USDT only) from $15. No bank card, PayPal or Stripe account is needed, and Getly asks for no routine identity check; the payout provider, NOWPayments, runs its own compliance checks. Buyers pay by card (Apple Pay and Google Pay where available) or with USDT/USDC.

Fee math on one membership payment

What reaches the creator from a single monthly payment, before payout costs and taxes. Processing is taken at the card rate each platform publishes.

Platform$5 membership$20 membership
Boosty (11.7%)$4.42 minus payment system fees$17.66 minus payment system fees
Patreon, new creator (10% + 2.9% + $0.30)$4.06$17.12
Ko-fi, memberships (5% + about 3% + $0.30)about $4.30about $18.10
Buy Me a Coffee (5% + 2.9% + $0.30)$4.31$18.12
Getly Member Plans (seller keeps 90%)$4.50$18.00

Two caveats. Boosty does not publish its payment system fees as a single number on the page we read, so its row is an upper bound. And on Getly the blockchain network fee on the payout itself comes out of the payout, which matters little on BNB Smart Chain and more on small Tron payouts.

Honest limits of each option

  • Boosty: the highest percentage in this list and card-based payouts, but the best reach to fans paying with Russian cards.
  • Patreon: the biggest audience of members, but fees stack (platform, processing, conversion, payout).
  • Ko-fi and Buy Me a Coffee: cheap and simple, but tied to PayPal or Stripe being available to you.
  • Gumroad: strong for files, expensive when sales come from its own marketplace.
  • Getly: a much smaller audience than Patreon or Boosty, payouts twice a month rather than daily, and you need a crypto wallet or an exchange account to receive them. It is a shop with memberships, not a social feed: there are no streams or paid direct messages. Every new listing is reviewed by hand before it goes live, usually within a few hours.

How to decide

  • Your fans mostly pay with Russian cards: Boosty is hard to replace for them. Many creators keep Boosty for the subscription and add a second store for files and international buyers.
  • You live where PayPal and Stripe pay out: Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee or Patreon are the low-friction choices.
  • You sell files as much as access: a marketplace beats a feed, because buyers can find a product without following you first.
  • Banks, PayPal and Stripe do not work for you: stablecoin payouts are the route that does not depend on them.

To try it, create a store, list one product, and add a Member Plan from the dashboard. Nothing stops you from keeping your Boosty page at the same time.
