Ordering Numbers (10–100): Rocket Math Adventure

Description: 

Get ready, astronauts! Your mission is to build a rocket ship using numbers. Roll two dice to create 5 two-digit numbers. Use your knowledge of tens and ones to write each number on a paper strip with a place value chart. Then, carefully arrange your numbers in the correct order on your rocket ship.

Completing this mission will show that you are a place value expert and can order numbers like a true space explorer!

Learning Competencies:

1. Forms two-digit numbers using place value (tens and ones)

2. Arranges and orders numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least. 

Materials Needed:

• Rocket ship template 

• Paper strips with place value chart 

• 2 dice 

• Pencil

• Crayons or color pencils

• Glue

Instructions: 

1. Roll 2 dice.

2. Write the bigger number in the TENS and the smaller number in the ONES.

3. Make a two-digit number and write it on a paper strip.

4. Do this 5 times.

5. Put your numbers on the rocket: smallest to greatest or greatest to smallest.

6. Paste, color, and decorate your rocket!
