I have successfully built and integrated a Strong local cryptographic security system disguised as an advanced calculator.

Underneath the tactile brushed silver 3D keys and futuristic navy grid lines lies a hidden Secure Cryptographic Lockbox powered by modern, offline-first Android standards.

🛡️ Design & Architectural Implementation

1. High-Security Terminal Aesthetic:

   • Designed a Cryptographic Vault UI featuring a glowing matrix green-and-slate terminal, custom monospace typefaces, security badges, and dynamic decryption logging.

   • Leveraged elegant Material 3 spacing and styling to craft detailed list items, quick-action copying parameters, and robust edit modules.

2. Zero-Plaintext Local Persistence (Room Database):

   • Room DB + Kotlin Flow: Integrated local database tables (secret_notes, security_config, security_logs) reactively mapping elements on the fly.

   • AES-128 Military Grade Encryption: Implemented real cryptographic encryption using Java's Cipher framework. All confidential notes are encrypted before hitting disk storage.

   • SHA-256 Hashing: Passcode sequences are securely hashed before validation, ensuring unauthorized actors can never read plain keys from SQLite binaries.

   • Volatile Session Cache: Decrypted plaintext exists purely in memory as a reactive ViewModel state and is instantly purged when locking the vault or closing the application.

3. Intruder Alert & Audit Tracker:

   • Covert Log Interception: Entering an incorrect numeric sequence on the calculator faceplate executes standard math operations as normal (so the intruder suspects nothing), while secretly recording an entry failure to the Security Audit Log with a precise timestamp.

4. Self-Destruct & Maintenance Console:

   • Built a configuration screen allowing users to safely re-key the master passcode (which dynamically decrypts and re-encrypts all notes in real time) or trigger a Hard Purge to permanently erase database entries and wipe credentials.

🧪 Quality & Verification Metrics

• Robolectric unit tests were integrated and verified on the local host JVM, passing 100% of the cryptographic checks for SHA-256 integrity and AES decryption pipelines.

• Standardized existing screenshot and template tests to ensure complete platform build compatibility.
